About Nikao Church

Building God a People

A People Prepared for His Presence, Purposed for His Glory, and Positioned for His Kingdom

The Theme

Building God a People is the divine assignment of raising up a people who know God, reflect His character, walk in His truth, demonstrate His love, and fulfill His purpose in the earth.

God is not merely looking for a crowd to fill a building. He is building a people who will become His spiritual dwelling place, His witnesses, and His representatives in the earth.

“Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” Titus 2:14 KJV · Key Scripture

Rooted in the Word

Foundational Scriptures

1 Peter 2:9

A People Called Out

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people…”

God is calling people out of darkness into His marvelous light. We are not called merely to attend church; we are called to reveal Christ through our lives.

Ephesians 2:19–22

A People Built Together

We are members of God’s household, being built together into a dwelling place for Him through the Spirit.

God builds individuals, but He also joins them together to establish a unified, mature, and spiritually strong people.

Jeremiah 3:15

Shepherds After God’s Heart

“And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.”

God raises up leaders who feed, teach, correct, equip, and prepare His people to walk in truth.

Matthew 28:19–20

A People Who Make Disciples

Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples of all nations, teaching them to observe His commandments.

The assignment is bigger than gathering people. It is about developing disciples who can reach others and continue the work of the Kingdom.

The Message

God Is Building a People, Not Just a Platform

There is a difference between building a ministry that attracts people and building a people who belong to God.

A platform can draw a crowd, but only the work of God, grounded in His Word and empowered by His Spirit, can transform hearts and develop mature disciples.

God’s desire is not simply to get people into His house; it is to get His character into His people.

He wants a people who will love when the world teaches hatred, forgive when others seek revenge, stand for truth when compromise is popular, and remain faithful when obedience becomes costly.

Building God a people requires:

Salvation
People must come to know Jesus Christ.
Transformation
Their minds, attitudes, and conduct must be shaped by God’s Word.
Discipleship
They must be taught to live out what they believe.
Unity
They must learn to walk together without allowing division to destroy the mission.
Service
They must discover and use their gifts to serve others.
Multiplication
They must become equipped to reach, teach, and strengthen others.

The goal is not to produce people who depend entirely on one leader. The goal is to develop people who know the Shepherd, understand His Word, recognize their responsibility, and faithfully fulfill their God-given assignment.

The Prophetic Declaration

“I have not called you merely to gather a crowd; I have called you to help prepare a people! A people who will know My Word, walk in My ways, demonstrate My love, and carry My truth into the nations.

Build upon the foundation of Jesus Christ. Do not build around personalities, positions, or popularity. Build lives that can stand when the storms come. Raise up sons and daughters who will continue the work after you have finished your assignment.

For the purpose is not simply to build something that bears your name, but to prepare a people who bring glory to My name.”

The Vision Statement

Building God a People

Preparing a people for God’s presence, equipping believers for Kingdom purpose, developing leaders of integrity, and raising disciples who will transform lives and carry the unchanging Word of God beyond borders.

Closing Scripture · Ephesians 4:12–13

The work of ministry is for the perfecting—or equipping—of the saints, the work of service, and the building up of the body of Christ until we grow into spiritual maturity.

We are not just building a church, a ministry, or an organization. We are investing in lives, establishing believers in truth, and preparing a people who will represent Jesus Christ in the earth.

The question is not only, “What are we building for God?” but also, “What kind of people are we building for God?”
